High temporal resolution measurements of gas and particulate fluxes during volcanic eruptions would offer scientists the possibility to study eruption dynamics with unprecedented detail. In this workshop we bring together users and developers in the nascent field of plume imaging via ultraviolet, visible and infrared remote sensing, in order to examine new technological advances and retrieval procedures, and to investigate how best to integrate eruption models with these novel observations.
